7/26/00 Press Release:
RE: The 11th Annual IH Scout & Light Truck Nationals'00, September 8-10, 2000, Springfield, Ohio.
The producers of the Nats'00 are pleased announce a new award for the Nationals'00, "The Triple Diamond" Award. This award will be top honors for a very special IH Truck. This top honor is in addition to the "Ted Ornas Award" For most original or restored to original Scout or Scout II, and the Grand National Champion Best of the Best award, which is a competition inviting all the best of show winners from all the regional IH/Scout shows during the past year leading up to the Nats'00 in September.
The Triple Diamond Award will be given to most original or restored to original IH Truck, Travelall or Pickup, from 1900 to 1975. This award will be chosen by a panel of expert judges who have the knowledge to find the right vehicle(s) that fit the criteria for this award and honor.
We are sure this new award will give even more excitement to the show, & will also give long deserved attention to other IH Vehicles that are worked on, preserved, cared for, and will be a part of history.
